Hushdraw

Privacy & FAQ

Can the organizer see the matches?

No. Matches are stored encrypted and never shown on any screen. Everyone sees only their own result via the link sent to their email.

What data do you store?

Group details plus participants' names and email addresses, used only to run the draw and send results.

When is data deleted?

The group, participants and matches are deleted automatically 30 days after the gift exchange date. The organizer can delete the group at any time.

Is my email verified?

No, to keep things simple. Please type your address carefully. The organizer can remove unknown participants before the draw.

I didn't get the email. What now?

Check your spam folder. If it's not there, open the invite link and enter your email and the secret word you chose when joining; your result appears on the site. Forgot the word? Have the result emailed again.

Is my secret word safe?

It's stored one-way hashed; neither the organizer nor we can see it. Guessing attempts are limited. Still, don't reuse a password from elsewhere.

What if someone leaves after the draw?

The organizer removes them and redraws. Everyone gets a new result email and old results become invalid.

Can someone guess the result?

In very small groups with many restrictions it can get easier. The system never reveals matches but can't prevent guessing.
